During the summer, Andrew embarked on a meaningful initiative aimed at supporting mental wellness for Canadian veterans suffering from PTSD. He organized a birdhouse fundraiser, utilizing his creativity to craft unique birdhouses from upcycled materials that were originally destined for landfills. The proceeds from this endeavor were directed towards experts at Wounded Warriors Canada, specifically for their pet therapy program. This therapeutic humanitarian activity allowed Andrew to blend his love for creativity with his desire to contribute to a cause close to his heart.
Notably, Andrew was able to forge a valuable partnership with his local Legion, which further bolstered the success of the fundraiser. The Legion showcased the birdhouses for sale, resulting in a tremendous response from the community. People were not only generous with their financial contributions but also with their donations of license plates to sustain the fundraiser.
